Authorizing and Submitting a Concept Paper

Once you have clicked Submit, the system checks to see that all requirements have been met. If any requirements have not been met, a report is displayed in a popup describing the problem or problems. You can then correct the issues and resubmit the concept paper.

Note:  You may click the I Agree button for any section for which you are the appropriate reviewer.

Note:  Once you have clicked an I Agree button and submitted the application, you cannot revoke your agreement.

Note:  All sections must be agreed to by an appropriate user from your organization before the application can successfully be submitted.

 

To authorize a concept paper:
  1. Open the Authorize and Submit page.

  2. Read the authorization statement. If you are agree with the statement (and are an appropriate user to authorize this grant application) click in the I Agree radio button. The page refreshes to display your name and the date on which you authorized the concept paper application/preapplication.

  3. Read the certifications statement.

  4. If you are agree with the statement (and are an appropriate user to authorize this grant application) click in the I Agree radio button. The page refreshes to display your name and the date on which you agreed to perform all actions and support all intentions in the certification sections of the grant application.

  5. Click Submit this Concept Paper. The concept paper is submitted to CNCS . If there are any problems that would prevent the concept paper from being accepted, an Application Errors List secondary page opens, displaying descriptions of the problems.

 

To address Application Errors:
  1. Read the application errors list.

  2. Correct any problems with the grant application listed in the applications errors list. All errors must be addressed prior to submission.

  3. Click Close to close the application errors list.

  4. Click Submit this Concept Paper again. The concept paper is resubmitted to CNCS.

A message will appear above the Authorize and Submit header to indicate whether the concept paper was accepted by the CNCS.
