The Objectives tab displays the options for work plan development. The following six CNCS Focus Areas are displayed:
Disaster Services
Education
Environmental Stewardship
Economic Opportunity
Healthy Futures
Veterans and Military Families.
In addition, Capacity Building and Other Community Priorities may also be selected for work plan development.
You should expand each Focus Area and select Objectives within each focus area to determine your area of work. Only the focus areas that correspond to the objectives you selected on this page will appear in the list when creating Performance Measures. Clicking on each Focus area will show a drop down with specific objectives. For example, clicking on the Capacity Building Focus area will allow you to select the Capacity Building & Leverage objective by checking the box next to the title of the objective.
When all necessary objectives have been selected, the user should choose a Primary Focus Area from the drop down list at the bottom. Only the Focus Areas that are part of the objectives that were previously selected will show up on this list.
The user should click on "Next" or the Performance Measures Tab to move to the Performance Measures screen.
